JOB BRIEF :

Candidate will work in capacity of the General Manager to supervise and control all strategic and business aspects of the company. Candidate will be the first in command in the company and responsible for giving the proper strategic direction as well as creating a vision for success.

To thrive as a GM, candidate must be a prudent manager and an inspiring leader. The ideal candidate will have a business mindset and will be able to - think big and act small- in a variety of settings. They will take actions to enhance the short-term cash flow while considering the long-term growth.

Responsibilities :

- Will be primarily responsible for the company's P&L

- Develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives

- Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement develop a high performing team

- Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission

- Make high-quality decisions to advance the business, increase market penetration, increase user base without compromising on profits

- Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company's legality and business ethics

- Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements

- Build trust relations with key customers, partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders

- Foresee the development of problematic situations and take preemptive action to prevent their occurrence

- Home Automation/IOT is a rapidly changing industry, the GM is expected to continuously learn and be very well informed of the different developments in the industry and products.

- GM should report to the Board of any technological or competitive change that may materially affect the business or operations of the company. GM should also come up with different proposals to adapt or mitigate such threats to the company

- GM should consider the developing Technology and/or Products and propose to the Board new business opportunities which are natural extension of existing business

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS :

- Minimum 5 years of work experience

- Proven leadership and managerial experience

- Experience in developing profitable strategies and extremely hands on in implementing vision

- Familiarity with diverse business functions such as Finance, HR, PR, Marketing & Sales, Company Secretarial and Administrative function etc.

- An entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on execution and delivering results.

- Able to survive the performance pressure of a startup.

- Excellent communication and public speaking skills

- High energy level, passion and commitment to deliver and grow with the Company

- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing technology and organization

- An Engineering Degree and Experience in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Hardware Networking.

- MBA is preferred but not Mandatory

- IIT and IIM candidates preferred

- Candidates shall be willing to relocate
