PAICA - Co-Founder/Lead - Data Science Specialist (5-7 yrs)
PAICA (www.paica.org) is an Indian EdTech startup with a mission to make AI education fun. Through innovative content design and structure as well as a battery of support services, we hope to bring joy back into learning.
For the next part of our journey, we are looking for graduates from top engineering colleges with 5-7 years of experience across data science and product development. We are especially interested in connecting with candidates who are looking for a platform to further their entrepreneurial ambitions. A self-starter who can take a product from scratch, set his own visions, develop roadmaps, build teams, and then execute the plans to completion.
Responsibilities :
- Perform market research, industry and competitive analysis to understand customer requirements and the industry landscape, define product strategy and, develop scalable and efficient solutions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple stakeholders including but not limited to product, engineering, sales support and the QA team.
- Keep up to date with the latest in emerging fields like Computer Vision, NLP, Reinforcement Learning and Evolution Strategies and domains like Robotics, Drones and SpaceTech and seek ways to incorporate them into the product.
- Formulate training & development programs to improve the technical competence of existing and new team members in the area of data science/AI.
Background, Skills and Experience :
- MS or PhD (preferred) in Physics, Maths, Statistics or Computer Science from a Tier 1 college/university.
- 3 - 5 years of experience as a data scientist in projects where machine learning models were put into production. Domains preferred - Retail/CPG, Manufacturing and Banking/Finance.
- 2+ years of experience in leading a data science team (3+ people) in advanced analytics projects from problem formulation and data aggregation to deployment.
- Knowledge of Computer Vision, NLP and/or Reinforcement Learning is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of databases (relational and NoSQL), containers and cloud computing (AWS/Azure/GCP) is highly desirable.
