Packaging Development Lead - B2B eCommerce Firm (6-12 yrs)
- Managing development of various types of Packaging for an expanding range of products, sub-products and SKUs.
- Implementing processes of: Packaging Brief, Specification sheets, Test standards
- Leverage knowledge of PM vendor base to make the right short term and long term choices
- Expertise in Artworks, design & print reproduction for relevant substrates. Inputting at the stage of design/ artwork development to optimize cylinder requirements, costs and design reproduce-ability
- New Vendor Development and facilitating Audits of new & existing vendors to ensure
- Regular upgrading of the Packaging portfolio
- Initiating and managing cost optimization projects
- Introducing processes & systems like, SOPs, MIS, formal vendor audits
- Analysis and correction of packaging complaints. Formalizing RCA & CAPA processes
- Establishing standard procedures for packaging tests and acceptance criterion atplants
- Maintain Shade cards system and ensure adherence systems for each batch
- Custodianship of all latest artworks and archival of the artworks without mix-up with previous versions
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders: Marketing, Procurement, Production, NPD, etc.
Skillset:
- Expertise in all types of Packaging materials - Flexible, Rigid
- Knowledge of Packaging processes & machinery
- Knowledge of Artwork development system
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent industry network and awareness of latest Packaging innovations
