Senior Manager - Finance Controllership - International
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations Management:
- Oversee and manage various accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all accounting entries and financial transactions.
Issue Identification and Resolution:
- Identify and analyze accounting and financial issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Implement corrective actions to address discrepancies and improve financial processes.
Month-End and Year-End Close:
- Support and manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reporting and reconciliations.
Quality Control:
- Implement and manage quality control measures for financial transactions and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Financial Statement Preparation:
- Produce accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS or local GAAPs.
- Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
Regulatory Reporting:
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of regulatory reports.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
Tax Filings and Compliance:
- Manage and ensure compliance with tax reporting and filing requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of local, state, and federal tax returns.
Policy and Procedure Development:
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to established policies and recommend improvements.
Audit Support:
- Provide support for statutory and quarterly audits.
- Ensure timely preparation and availability of documentation required for audit processes.
Process Improvement:
- Lead and drive process improvement initiatives within the accounting and finance functions.
- Identify areas for efficiency gains and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered accountant with 4-6 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAPs, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience with financial systems and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
