- Your work is specialized and the exact tasks carried out vary depending on the nature of the employing organization. You may be involved in some or all of the following:

- Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers

- Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations

- Deploy a wide variety of training methods

- Monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them

- Manage training budget

- Provide opportunities for ongoing development

- Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary

- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices

a) devising and establishing a company's quality procedures, standards and specifications

b) looking at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency

c) defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff

d) setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures

e) monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports

f) making suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them

g) using relevant quality tools and making sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business
