OYO Rooms - Litigation Specialist - LLB

What you will be doing:

- Attend to litigation matters, which would include initiation of proceedings before various court and tribunals or defend the company against any legal proceedings and review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise and coordinate with external lawyers and law firms

- Drafting and vetting of pleadings in civil and criminal litigations to be filed before variety of courts, tribunals, forums, government authorities etc. in consultation with internal teams and external counsels

- Collating, analysing and providing all information and data relevant to ongoing disputes and escalations from concerned internal and external sources.

- Autonomously managing the assigned tasks and cases and briefing internal management, business stakeholders and external lawyers and counsels.

- Assessing pre-litigation escalations and ongoing disputes and implementing legal strategies in consultation with the team.

- Legal Research on various Acts and statues.

- In depth knowledge and experience of handling commercial, contractual , recovery disputes and criminal cases with exposure in dealing with domestic Arbitration matters, NCLT proceedings, negotiable instruments, consumer disputes and before police and other quasi- judicial authorities.

- Alignment and implementation of business requirements and goals in line with the legal strategies

- Assist in monitoring the settlement of consumer and other disputes and to ensure check on prospective litigations by giving proper reply of the legal notices.

- Preparing, maintaining and reporting MIS of ongoing and prospective litigations as and when required by the management by use of Excel and other case management portals.

What are we looking for :

- Minimum 4- 5 years PQE in litigation/arbitration relating to civil and criminal matters

Education - LLB

- Relevant experience in law firms, individual practitioner or industry

- Candidates to be familiar with High Court Rules and practice;

- Willing to work from office
