headquarter at Toledo US.

Owens Corning's Insulation Plant is a green-field project.

We are looking for candidates with outstanding academic

credential, proven track records, with and aptitude to learn and grow with the organization.

The Sourcing Manager is accountable for leading Sourcing of Capex Equipment and Services to drive operational performance excellence to a world class level.

The incumbent shall work closely with Suppliers , Project Team ,Finance, Operations, Logistics and Indirect Taxation teams.

This position will part of Insulation Plant team, reporting to India Sourcing Leader.

Responsibilities

1. Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities.

- Follow safe working practices, promoting safety awareness and performance for self and others in all areas of responsibility to achieve full compliance with site and company standards and guidelines.

2. Supplier Management

- Have a good understanding of the Supply Base for Project Procurement

- Work closely with the Project & Operations team in identifying , driving , assessing and leading Supplier Evaluation process

- Manage visits to Supplier manufacturing sites , Customer Project sites

- Ongoing Supplier Rating and Developing Strategy based on the the Supplier Performance

- Ensure to conduct a structured scheduled review with the critical suppliers to monitor progress , drive results in line with Project schedule , identify risks and implement mitigation plan for the identified risks

3. Commodity Management

- Lead the Development , Management and Implementation of the Capex Category Strategy for the Project in tandem with the India Sourcing Leader , Project Leader and Regional Category Leader

- Gather Periodic Market Intelligence for various Base commodities , viz , Metals , Cement , Polymers , and share with the Project team and embed it in the Procurement Planning

4. Metrics & Business Partnership

- Financial metrics : Productivity savings of 4% or greater every year

- Work closely with Project Team and other Cross Functional teams to drive overall costs reduction

- Working Capital : Negotiate better Payment terms for the organization in line with Global/Regional references

- Impact on Business : By partnering closely with Project leaders / stakeholders to share timely market intelligence , productivity opportunities and thus make a direct impact on reduction of overall project cost

5. Audit and Compliance

- Ensure SOX compliance for Sourcing

- Support Financial/Statutory/Quality audits from time to time

- Ensure GST compliance for Supply Base

- Ensure Vendor Master Management for regular updation and accuracy of records

- Develop systems/process improvement requirement based on Audit findings

6. Supply Management :

- Planning of the Capex equipment, Services , based on the Overall Project Plan in coordination with the Sourcing and Project Leader

- Engage closely with the Project team to understand the requirements and debottlenecking

- Accountable for ensuring respective suppliers perform as per the metrics agreed upon

7. Self Development and Growth

- Develop himself to understand the overall Project and contribute to the timely implementation of the project

- Identify areas of development along with India Sourcing Leader , HR , Mentors to prepare and execute a plan for self development

Job Requirements

Experience:

1. University Degree in Engineering/Science ; MBA in Materials Management/Supply Chain preferred

2. Minimum 6 to 8 years of hard core Capex Sourcing experience in leading manufacturing Industry

Knowledge and Skills:

1. Excellent Sourcing skills with proven track record in commodity management. Strong capacity to manage Project Procurement

2. Logical reasoning and Analytical

3. Fluent in both English, Marathi and preferably Hindi

4. Good negotiation/communication skills with people from all levels and all culture backgrounds.

5. Good computer skills, office software, MRP knowledge. Good knowledge of SAP MM Module is preferred
