Orios Venture Partners - Investment Associate - Venture Capital - IIM/ISB/IIT

Orios Venture Partners is an Early Stage Venture Capital firm. Currently investing from our Fund II, where our continued focus is on consumer investments, both Tech and Non Tech. Some of the well-known investments are Zooty, Pharmeasy, PrettySecrets, Country Delight, Yumlane and ZipGo. The founding team are experienced investors since 2008, and pre Orios investments include OlaCabs, Druva, Unbxd and Jigsee.

We are looking for individuals from premier colleges with post undergrad relevant work experience of 5-6- years and a deep passion for startups, curiosity about new business models, technology and consumer businesses.

- Candidates with experience of working with startups will be preferred.

- Post undergrad work experience of 5-6 years of relevant work experience like management consulting, strategy roles at startups or equivalent;

- Candidate with a consumer background will be most suitable, preferably in a consumer start up;

- Education from leading institutions only (ISB, IIMs, US IVY, INSEAD, IITs, BITS and similar);

- Excellent communication and a relentless net-working skills;

- Methodical and persuasive decision making skills and high proactivity;

- Team player with ability to work effectively in small groups.

The Role:

The role will primarily include:

- Researching sectors and creating investment thesis

- Helping source and select highly promising investments

- Negotiating deal terms

- Developing fund reports

- Development of strategic themes and actionable investment thesis in consumer sectors,

- Providing strategic post investment support and managing relationship with invested companies.

- Any additional, yet to be determined, responsibility shall be assigned.
