About Orios Venture Partners :

- Orios is a well-regarded early stage Venture Capital fund primary investing in high growth Consumer Technology startups: software, internet & mobile. Some of the fund's recent investments include Zo Rooms, ZipGo, Ziffi, PrettySecrets, Taskbob, Pharmeasy and IntelligenceNode. The fund's Managing Partners is Rehan Yar Khan who has been India equity investors since 2008 in close to 30 companies including OlaCabs, Micromax, Druva,, Jigsee (VuClip), Unbxd and others.

Role :

- The executive will work closely with the Investment team across all areas of research, deal sourcing, deal selection, investing, post investment support and supporting partners in special projects like fund raising, fund presentations, investor relations & general management. Successful candidate will study how an investment is likely to perform and how sustainable it is. He/She will participate in sound portfolio-management strategy by providing the necessary data for decision making process. The learning curve will be steep as the potential responsibilities that would be handled are immense.

Key Responsibilities :

- Support investment themes and evaluate new investment ideas

- Originate and identify potential investment opportunities through multiple sources

- Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies

- Look back at previous investment decisions and the thought process of making the investment decision

- Liaise with fund managers and network with industry professionals

- Monitor closely financial press and keep a track of market trends, opportunities, risks and new investment products

- Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios

- Develop complex financial models and analyze legal documents

- Support Investor Relations

- Special Projects as assigned

Requirements :

- Top pedigree academics and experience 6 months to 3 years of prior experience in working with a Management Consulting Firm / Investment Bank / Consumer Technology start-up in Strategy or business roles with a strong academic background (BE / B.Tech from IIT or BITS)

- Strong analytical capability

- Strong research capability

- Excellent networking ability with good inter-personal skills; must be a well-rounded professional

- Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics

- Team player with ability to work effectively in small groups.
