Organization Design & Workforce Planning Role - BPO (10-15 yrs)

- This role is the Organization Efficiency manager for GBS, reporting into the Director Organization Efficiency for GBS. - Global Business Services has mobilized an Organizational Efficiency team to drive improvements in Organisational Design and Workforce Planning.


- This role will be part of a team that will play a pivotal role in enabling GBS to scale effectively and efficiently via driving consistency in organization design as work transitions to GBS.


- The role is part of the GBS HR team and can be based in North America, Mexico, Europe, or India (preferably in a GBS hub location). Key stakeholders are Global Functional Leaders across GBS (mostly Vice Presidents and Senior Vice President)

Accountabilities :

Organization Design (OD): Translation of GBS strategy into organisation structure and governance models - more specifically, this role will be responsible for the diagnose, design, delivery and deployment of organisation design initiatives in 2-3 global functions.

- Contribute to the Organizational Design Strategy to ensure we build a simple, scalable and efficient organization enabling seamless and accelerated growth, productivity and set clear roles & responsibilities.

- Work with functional leaders to identify and assess function specific organization design projects to enhance both operating effectiveness and productivity. One role on this team will focus on sales / marketing / insights / consumer relations focused; one will be HR/finance focused; and one will be supply chain/procurement focused

- Ensure quality execution in every transition of work into GBS through a hands-on approach to organizational design while building a reputation for quality and impact.

- Identification of linkages from organisation design initiatives to leadership, culture and learning and connecting and co-creating solutions with TA, TR, TMOD and HRBPs.

Workforce Planning (WFP): Contribute to WFP capability by providing functional inputs

- Embrace several sources of insights and combine those into one source of the truth. E.g. Talent Acquisition system, Business Case, Financial Planning, Headcount reporting, Migration Planning, longer-term Assess & Design plans and Efficiency Plans (Continuous Improvement/Automation) etc.

- Contribute to design of new workforce planning capability

- Keep track of functional headcount plans

- Maintain consistency and integrity of job catalogue

Key Skills /Experience required :

- Organization design (OD) and workforce planning (WFP) initiative / project experience - including understanding of how to approach OD/WFP, common challenges, and outputs

- Functional knowledge in at least one of the following areas: supply chain, sales, HR, marketing/insights, finance - either via consulting / advising these functions or operational experience

- Strategic, conceptual, and structured thinking in order to enable the business strategy and drive relevant impact

- Ability to communicate complex matters in simple and clear ways - verbally and in writing

- Ability to juggle many deliverables, manage short deadlines while delivering long-term impact and support a wide range of priorities

- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders, excellent stakeholder management and client handling (domestic & international) skills

- Experience from working in a matrix and international organisation

- Attention to detail

- Management consultancy background is an advantage

- Previous exposure to GBS or shared services industry

- Proficient with MS Office - MS Excel and MS Power point in particular
