Organic Monk - Manager - Business Development (8-10 yrs)
We are looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to develop and implement growth strategies for the achievement of revenue goals. Candidates should have the right blend of analytical talent and business knowledge. Successful applicants should be team players who not only understand how to identify a new market opportunity, but also know what it takes to lead a team forward and realize that opportunity. We're especially looking for someone with great communication skills, as you'll be expected to interact with shareholders, executives and clients on a daily basis. Preference will be given to candidates who plan to stay and grow with our company for the foreseeable future.
1. Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape in the cosmetic industry.
- Analyze market data and customer insights to identify new business opportunities and potential target markets.
- Monitor industry developments, including regulatory changes, new technologies, and competitor activities, to stay informed and adjust business strategies accordingly.
2. New Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the brand's lines.
- Develop and maintain a network of strategic partnerships with suppliers, distributors, and retailers to ensure a strong market presence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products that meet customer needs and align with the company's strategic objectives.
3. Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, negotiate contracts, and manage pricing and terms.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement, implementing appropriate strategies to optimize sales effectiveness.
4. Marketing and Branding:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and branding initiatives to drive product awareness and sales.
- Provide input on product positioning, packaging, pricing, and promotional strategies to maximize market penetration.
- Analyze the effectiveness of marketing activities and recommend adjustments to optimize results.
5. Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, industry influencers, and regulatory bodies.
- Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the brand and establish connections with potential partners and customers.
Requirements and Skills:
- MBA in business administration, sales or relevant field.
- Min. 8-10 years of Experience in a Contract Manufacturing Organisation for Cosmetics as Business Development Manager.
- Proven track record of success in business development within the cosmetics/pharmaceuticals industry, with a focus on B2C contract manufacturing services.
- In-depth knowledge of the cosmetics market, including industry trends, regulations, and customer preferences.
- Strong network of contacts within the cosmetics industry, including beauty brands.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
