Job Summary: This position will be responsible for development and implementation of a fundraising strategy through identifying, establishing, and maintaining donor relationships for the IC3 Institute. This position will work directly with the Founder and the Director to develop a clear fundraising strategy to include donations and support from individuals, corporations, and foundations in India and abroad.
Functions, Duties, and Performance Responsibilities:
- Defining avenues and approaches for funding
- Research funding prospects in India and abroad. Maintain a database of prospective and current funders
- Identifying appropriate Request for Proposals (RFPs) and working with the IC3 Institute team to develop proposals and responses
- Cultivate relationships with individuals of various giving capacities and identify meaningful ways to engage them in the IC3 Institute's work
- Secure commitments/ donations from individuals or corporate donors
- Explore creative approaches to implement fundraising campaigns, including virtual events and crowdfunding
- Managing and nurturing Donor relationships
- Ensure 100% renewals with current partners of the IC3 Institute
- Build and maintain relationships with existing donors and ensuring timely reports
- Effectively communicate the organization's mission, vision, and current operations to partners
- Develop and maintain effective pathways for the development of relationships and retention of donors
Operations and Planning:
- Plan and strategize yearly fundraising goals
- Work closely with leadership in budgeting exercises
- Apprise the leadership, and other stakeholders of any major shifts in the overall philanthropic funding landscape
- Assist the program team with preparing reports for grant proposals
- Leverage board members for first conversations with potential donors and drive communications follow-ups
- As list of potential donors grow, drive a periodic newsletter for donors to get regular updates about the IC3 Institute Driving Brand and Awareness through External Publicity
- Work closely with the communications team to develop publicity material for fundraising purposes, and provide input on communications and messaging in brochures, website etc. with implications for fundraising.
- Be an articulate and engaging storyteller to inspire donors to increase their support to the IC3 Institute.
- Represent the organization at meetings with potential donors and external events.
- 5+ years of strong experience in nonprofit fundraising management, outreach, and familiarity with CSR-related funding. Self-motivator, highly energetic individual should have strong communication, relationship management, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging presentations to potential and current donors. A collaborative mindset and ability to work with teams, both internal and external, including the Institute's volunteers and advisory groups.
