Ops Manager - Logistics - Mfg/BPO/ITeS

A LEADING CAPTIVE UNIT OF A MANUFACTURING UNIT (MNC) LOOKING FOR OPERATIONS MANAGER- LOGISTICS BASED OUT OF HYDERABAD.

Position: Operations Manager - Logistics

Qualification: MBA

Exp: 10 yrs of which 5 plus yrs in Logistics domain

Skills: Should been in Similar Capacity handling Team Leaders/Asst Managers for atleast 1-2 years. At least 2 yrs of Experience in Logistics / Supply Chain Function in an MNC

Reporting to : AVP/ VP.

Job Description:

A. Provide Domestic & International logistics Process knowledge & expertise to the team which includes

B. Strategic and Transactional Support to Logistics Buyer of US/EMEA Regions

C. Ability to do Logistics Market study and understand Logistics Market Dynamics and Trends across the mode of transportation and provide in-depth analysis of transportation and logistics sector and opportunity within a mode buy space across the geography.

D. Assume line mgmt responsibility of Operations Leaders typically 3-4 Operations Leaders with a Span of about 30-40 Logistics Specialist who would provide Logistics support to US/EMEA regions

E. Accountable for daily operations and deliverables

F. Create Transition Methodology and ensure work transition happens seamlessly as per timelines

G. Identify and execute plans to eliminate operational inefficiencies using continuous improvement techniques.

H. Be Proactive and implement controls to sustain operations

I. Lead , Motivate & develop team to meet & exceed deliverables

J. Ensure Quality & Audit standards are met
