The Glove is looking forward to hiring for the role of Operation Manager, for one of its key FMCG clients, based out of Gurgaon.

Budget :15-20 Lacs

Job Description : Operations Manager

Role :

The Operations Manager will report directly to the Founder/ Directors and will have full operational responsibility for various functions like Procurement, Warehouse, Supply, IT, Administration, Facility Management and HR. This is an important leadership role in the company and the individual will be part of the management decision making team.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

- Supervision : Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of the various departments in the organization, including work schedules.

- Cost Optimization : Ensure cost optimization across all spheres of the working of the company

- Adherence to Rules : Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.

- Risk Management : Oversee organizational insurance policies. Ensure health and Safety committee meetings are held and tasks assigned.

- Human Resources : Plan and optimize the Human Resources of the company. Drive recruitment and placement of required staff; establishment of organizational structure; delegation of tasks and account abilities, setting up and implementing of HR policies.

- Manage Third Party Relations : Ensure that standard procedures are followed when third parties are hired, necessary administrative and legal formalities are completed, and the third party properly executes the agreed terms and conditions.

- Best Practices : Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission - specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.

- Increase Effectiveness and Efficacy : Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of each department, through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.

- Formulate policies : Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.

Key Competencies :

- Demonstrated leadership ability.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.

- Open to direction and collaborative work style

- Strong bias for action and commitment to get the job done

- Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization, ability to look at situations from several points of view

- Budget development and oversight experience

- Knowledge of Labour Laws and Standards

- Knowledge of running a manufacturing/services unit, and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

- Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace

Desired Experience :

- MBA, with 7-10 years of experience in operations or general management.

- Experienced in handling a facility/unit and leading teams of at least 20 people.

- Experience in a products company, where the candidate has managed movement of goods out of a central location, to locations across the country.
