Operations Head - Transfer Agency - BFSI (15-20 yrs)

We are hiring Head of Operations - Transfer Agency for our Financial Services client based at Bangalore or Pune location.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Responsibility for the global operating model and service delivery of the Offshore (Ireland, Luxembourg and Australia) Transfer Agency operations in India.

- Responsible for ensuring that Offshore TA meets its obligations to service clients in accordance with the fund documentation, administration agreement and SLA such that all KPIs are met or exceeded.

- Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment which encourages ownership, excellence, employee engagement, teamwork, and communication.

- Oversight of processing quality and timeliness from all locations servicing offshore clients (e.g. Bangalore & Pune)

- Maintain a robust control environment resulting in successful Internal Audits and other client and regulatory due diligence exercises.

- Implement strong risk management environment to negate operational losses, regulatory breaches and potential fraud.

- Ensure operating procedures are established and adhered to, enhancing current procedures to improve productivity and quality.

- Ensure process improvement methods are used consistently by the operation to achieve efficiency.

- Produce management reporting for monthly activities with particular focus on accuracy and timeliness in all locations and remedial programs where appropriate

- Achieve cost management and saving targets for the business.

- Human resource management and capacity planning.

- Provide technical expertise from India (where appropriate) for the development of new business relationships and develop procedures for the take on of new products and services.

- To work with internal departments to evaluate and implement changes in proposed new regulations and to ensure that all current requirements are met.

- Manage client issues ensuring appropriate resolution, including regular liaison relationship managers and other operational managers to provide a seamless service.

- Liaising with key stakeholders in Ireland, Luxembourg Australia and regarding Service and Service Level Agreements.

- Consult on effective ways to meet client needs or appropriate methods to be used for resolution of an error.

- Maintain internal relations with other departments, Operations Risk, Operations Control and Auditors.

- Analyse monthly management information to understand where quality at an individual, process, team or management company needs to be addressed.

- Exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the incumbent is responsible for are organised and controlled.

- Observe proper standards of market, business and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of duties

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders in Ireland, Luxembourg and Australia.

KEY REQUIREMENTS :

- Significant operational experience gained in a TPA, TA or working directly for a fund manager (essential)

- Proven people management and change management skills essential

- Process analysis/improvement experience will be advantageous

- Effective verbal reasoning and numeric skills (Essential)

- Good keyboard skills to include MS Excel and ability to learn systems used within the business (Essential)

- Experience in working with Multi Currency and FX

- Ability to work under pressure meeting challenging deadlines

- Ability to manage department in accordance with agreed budgetary guidelines

- Excellent planning and organisation skills

- Ability to review and resolve complex issues

- Ability to work under pressure meeting challenging deadlines

- Ability to work on own initiative

- Collaborative management skills with ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in Ireland, Luxembourg and Australia TA

- Solution orientated with interpersonal skills necessary achieve results necessary to support Ireland, Luxembourg and Australia TA business

- Strong client focus gained in a financial services company

- Strong Transfer Agency Industry and Regulatory knowledge essential

- Strong Process Control focus will be advantageous
