Ondot Systems - Technical Architect (15-17 yrs)

Role Expectations :

- Analyse the system end-to-end and make significant improvements for both code quality and product quality

- Debug critical production issues and come up with solutions

- Work with the larger team and implement best practices from the industry

- End-to-end design of features and large improvements; ensure the impact on overall product is thought through and technical risks are highlighted.

- Mentor the development and QA team

Technical expectations :

- Experience working on large architectures with multiple loosely coupled distributed systems.

- Hands-on in-depth experience in the following areas, in Unix environment:

- J2EE : Spring, Hibernate

- RabbitMQ (or any equivalent messaging system) and clustering

- Redis and clustering

- SQL, preferably in Oracle environment

- End-to-end experience with applications spanning multiple domains like AWS, on-premise J2EE and mobile.

Proven skills in the following :

- Performance analysis (memory, CPU, thread pools, connection pools, distributed cache) and debugging; please note our transactions take mere milliseconds.

- Fault tolerant design and analysis

- REST APIs and debugging of state management

Adept at :

- Loosely coupled modular designs and SOLID+design patterns

- Interface and API design (REST)

- Best coding practices; secure coding

- Data model design and analysis

- Best testing practices and automation

- Scalability (linear scaling)

Domain expectations :

- Preferably from banking and payments domain.

- Knowledge of ISO 8583 or working knowledge with payment switches, is definitely a plus.

Experience level

- Preferably 15+ years of experience

- Computer Science graduate
