Role:

As the Director of Engineering you will lead the effort in building a truly disruptive customer centric product in card services. The key objective of this position is to provide hands-on leadership to the team to execute this mission, by hiring and building a world-class team of engineers, defining, executing and delivering functional and non-functional features at scale quickly and promoting a culture of cross-functional collaboration and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities:

- As a key member of the leadership team, work with Core Engineering, Product Management, and Integration Engineering to deliver new, compelling products to customers.

- Ship great products under stringent deadlines with distributed team and changing business priorities and ensure customer success.

- Attract talent, hire the best engineers and grow teams at a rapid pace.

Requirements:

- Lead a team of 30+ members made up of both full-time employees and contractors.

- Excellent delivery and people management skills. Exceptional leadership skills and proven experience in shaping team culture.

- Provide technical leadership to development team by participating in design, performing design reviews and code reviews.

- Hands-on experience in building customer specific custom solutions and experienced in building and delivering highly scalable Enterprise software.

- Hands on experience with JAVA, Oracle, Linux is desired.

- Deliver the product despite complex technical interdependencies with cross geographical teams.

- Hire, retain and grow a high-performing team of software engineers

- Strong analytical skills and high ownership Prior experience with a start-up is preferred

- Invest in the career development of direct reports.

- Experience in Banking and Card payment is preferred.

Education: BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar degree from a top tier institution.
