Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective resolution strategies aimed at minimizing overdue accounts and enhancing overall recovery rates.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor the collections portfolio, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions to continuously improve collection efficiency and asset recovery outcomes.
- Customer Interaction: Engage directly with customers to understand their financial situations, negotiate payment plans, and settle outstanding accounts while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Legal Coordination: Collaborate with the legal team to manage cases requiring legal intervention, including the initiation and follow-up of legal proceedings when necessary.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on resolution activities, performance metrics, and recovery rates to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure that all collection activities adhere to relevant regulations, company policies, and industry best practices, maintaining the highest standards of compliance.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the collections function and implement process improvements as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required; an MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CA) is strongly preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in asset reconstruction, distressed asset resolution, or a related financial services field, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex portfolios and executing resolution strategies within a regulated environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial analysis, portfolio management, and risk assessment.
- Strong data analytics and reporting skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and related financial software.
Regulatory and Legal Knowledge:
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., RBI guidelines, IBC, SARFAESI Act) and experience working with legal teams on recovery and resolution matters.
