OLX Group - Category Lead - Aasaanjobs (5-10 yrs)
Job Role
As a Category Head at Aasaanjobs, you will be responsible for the P&L of a particular category/vertical. A category can be one of the current ones - Logistics + E-commerce, FMCG + Retail, Pharma + Healthcare, BFSI + Fintech, Hospitality + F&B + Tourism. You will need to build a strong team under you that can handle Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Product. Each vertical will have ~300-500 people working in it.
Journey
- First 3 months - Figuring out the aspirations of each of the stakeholders - clients, job seekers, recruitment consultants
- 4-6 months - Setting up Operations to execute recruitment, designing the product to onboard the job seeker directly on the platform
- 7-9 months - Getting the first version of product out, basic marketing strategies
- 10-12 months - Increasing the marketing spend
- At each junction of the journey, you will need to build your own team to take up and scale different responsibilities - Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product. We would envision to make this a 50 crore annual revenue (100k joinings per year) vertical in 3 years and 200 crore annual revenue (400k joinings per year) in 5 years.
Skills needed
- User understanding - Deep understanding of the user and his problems
- Analytical - Narrowing down on the correct problem based on data and user research
- Scale - Think of growing from x to 10x to 100x. The marketing budget of ~15 mil USD (for 2 years) will be available to get the job seekers on the platform. The allotment and utilization of the marketing budget will be done by the product manager directly.
