Role: Demand Head, Outstation Category @Ola

City: Bangalore

About the role :

- We are looking for a driven, experienced and hands-on Demand Head to own the planning process and drive fulfillment of each region's forecasted demand for the category. This person will be the focal point in development, communication, and execution of the demand plans.

- The is a central role in the Outstation category team and the person will be leading the intercity travel market demand function PAN India for Ola. The role requires an excellent cross functional working capability, liasoning with key stakeholders across cities, product and marketing.

Will be the face of growth of the category and will have exposure in working with the senior management at Ola.

KRAs :

Planning & Reviews :

- Planning every quarter on the demand plan basis targets

- Weekly tracking of growth/de-growth in requests/bookings and reasons/updates

- Maintaining track of activities and optimization

Growth :

- Delivery of the intent / demand sessions growth target of the category

- Working on traction and optimization of digital marketing - Social targeting and SEM being key

- Basis insights working on offline and online channels of growing market share in key routes

- Working with marketing/agencies on campaigns around key events - campaign thought, activities, content, creatives and execution

- Overseeing weekly calendar along with comm team on content and delivery

- Launch of new cities / routes

- Pricing

- Oversee pricing across all routes and cities (500+)

- Plan discounting/increments basis growth and ENTR across cities/routes

Alliances :

- Work with alliances across campaigns, content and API integrations, these are across businesses majorly focused around the travel industry

- Work with community relations team on liasoning with the tourism boards

Product - Work on new product initiatives to drive growth and coordinate requests from cities

Consumer Insights - Continuously work on building consumer insights by travelling across routes and build a solid understanding of the Indian intercity travel market with time

- Defining proposition of the category across routes / customer segments

Skills required (technical, soft skills, specific tools, personality traits):

- Has effectively worked in a cross functional role and driven the project objectives with multiple stakeholders

- Ability to understand consumer needs and build a consumer centric business

- Love for execution and delivering impact - entrepreneurial drive needed in meeting role objectives

- Given the nature of the business and its early stage, problem solving ability will be key

Candidate background required (education & experience)

Education/ Qualification: MBA marketing from a top tier college preferred

- Experience in managing P&L of a consumer facing category / vertical of a business

- Minimum 4+ years of experience in a marketing / category role

- Knowledge and experience in online and offline marketing is mandatory
