About Department:

Responsibilities of Central BI COE includes but not limited to :

- Build reliable data products which are used by the entire organization for getting descriptive analytics. The solution is primarily present in the form of a data mart/basefact, dashboard or a report, comprising L0, L1 & L2 metrics of key business segments.

- Build real time dashboards, reports that enables the business stakeholders to take real time decisions

- Administer, Maintain, Support the Central BI Platform that enables the analyst community and the central BI team to power the BI products aka Dashboard/Report/Email Alerts and much more enterprise BI features.

- Act as BI enablers for deriving day-to-day business performance metrics and enabling analysts via derived tables and creating data knowledge base

- Create and maintain central data knowledge repository

- Maintaining source of truth - One Ola operating model is ensured data integrity is maintained

- Mentoring new analysts with right data sources and querying logics

Job Summary:

About Role:

- Prepare architecture for data flow (DAG design), develop strategies and Datamart solutions as per stakeholder requirements

- Perform analysis on Product experiments and identify key business health metrics

- Supervise efficient utilization of all Business Intelligence projects and deliver unified Reports/Dashboards/Datamarts solving problems for multiple stakeholders

- Perform life cycle assessment on all deliverables and develop long term strategy for Descriptive/Inquisitive analytics

- Coordinate with data generators and core data engineers to ensure data integrity across all Central 

Reports/Dashboards :

- Data exploratory abilities to identify insights that can be derived from the data at hand.

- Ability to understand the end user persona and identify analysis that can enable them to take business decisions efficiently.

- Build Data governance strategy and maintain data dictionary

- Work with Product & Business stakeholders to build holistic Dashboards/Reports and provide visibility to stakeholders on Data observability

Experience:

- 4-6 years of working experience in the field of Business Intelligence Analytics/ Data Analytics / Advanced Analytics

Type of experience:

- hands-on experience with functional, Integration, Performance and non-functional testing, test planning, test designing for complex distributed systems.

- Experience handling a team of analysts would be a bonus.

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree in Engineering from top institute/college - IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani etc.

OR

- MS / MSc in Statistics

Key competencies:

- Extensive experience with hands on complex SQL, Python/R or other data manipulation languages

- Complex ETL/ELT design & development in a big data infrastructure is a must

- Working knowledge of Presto/Hive/Spark is necessary

- Should know basic job scheduling via Oozie/Airflow

- Knowledge on Dashboard UI development based on data warehouse will be an added advantage

- Experience with large-scale, multi-release Product based companies is a must.

- Working experience of Big Data infrastructure & BI analytics

- Strong experience in working within a large organization dealing with multiple Product/Business stakeholders

- Able to work with fast paced agile deliveries

- Evolve basic/crude requirements from end users and enhance them to derive additional value.

Software/Tools System Exposure:

- Advanced SQL

- Advanced Excel

- R or python

- Any major dashboarding tools (tableau, powerBI, microstrategy etc.)

- ETL tools such as Oozie or airflow.
