OLA - Manager - IT Infrastructure (10-15 yrs)

Responsibilities:

- Design, implement and maintain the infrastructures covering on-premise (main data center and backup sites) AWS and Azure.

- Experience in Windows Administrator with Active Directory (AD),DNS,DHCP and Azure Administrator and SCCM Administrator, Cortex Administrator

- Manage and maintain the operations of infrastructures including planning, installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, problem resolution, business continuity, backups and system level security

- Design disaster recovery solution based on application recovery point objective and recovery time objective.

- Design and manage windows server infrastructure (AD, DHCP, DNS)

- End to end accountability and ownership of the storage and virtualization platform design, deployment, growth and maintenance

- Act as the senior most resource for all storage & virtualization platforms

- Act as lead storage and virtualization expert at customer site for deployments whenever sent onsite

- Configure, deployed, managed and troubleshoot Servers and VMs Migrating of using VMotion Performing Snapshots, Cloning, Cold Migrations and Hot Migrations.

- Creating Clusters for High Availability (HA) and Distributive Resource Scheduling (DRS)

- Deploying ESXi server, deploying VMs using Templates and ISO, repairing the windows OS using the ISO images.

- Lead storage and virtualization related activities during customer onsite projects


- Ensure level 1 operations are properly trained and coached for day to day management of the storage & virtualized environment at our customer sites

- Act as the point person for issues that affect storage, compute and virtual infrastructure. Work with business users and other IT personnel to determine future infrastructure needs. Plan for infrastructure changes, issues and improvements needed and ensure timely delivery of business objectives.

- Contribute to business system implementation, e.g., POC environment preparation, capacity planning; assist in testing and validations process, etc.

- Select and implement security tools, policies and procedures in conjunction with the security team.

- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure environment regarding system design, installation, configuration, testing, upgrade and maintenance procedure such as design diagrams, wiring diagrams, etc.

- Ensure projects are completed timely, accurately and within budget.

- Plan and implement the migration of the infrastructures to the corporate office and plant.

- Engineers design, deploy and maintain supporting infrastructures, such as cSphere, XenServer, ESX Hosts, and vCenter. They ensure that virtualized environments are functioning properly.

- Engineers need to script and manage peripherals, such as scanners, printers, and copiers and other such devices in a VMware VDI environment. They must install, configure, and manage components of the VMware virtualization environment, such as VSphere, ESX, VRM, etc.

- Engineers perform forecasting, capacity evaluations, and condition appraisals of the infrastructure. They configure, administer, troubleshoot, and conduct backups and retrieval.

- Moreover, they should have experience of working with vSphere v5.x and 6.x of VMware, experience of installing, configuring, upgrading, monitoring, and troubleshooting vCenter and ESXi servers.

- Having a good knowledge about hardware and how they function with operating systems, have experience working with HyperV environments, and have the ability to perform system administration tasks of both Windows and Linux operating systems.

Requirements:

- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant IT experience or equivalent.

- Experience in global financial organizations would be an advantage.

- Intensive operations and problem-management experience in large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments (e.g., VMware, Windows/Linux, AWS, Azure, hyper converged systems, SAN and NAS, load balancers). Experience building out Data Center and POP environments (with knowledge of space planning, cabling standards, power/PDUs, racks, etc.) would be an advantage. Experience and knowledge of encryption technology is preferred.

- Strong domain knowledge in managing components of Public & Private cloud infrastructure, (AWS, Linux System Administration, Azure, VMware & OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure).

- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on public cloud vendors.

- Experience with design principles ensuring high availability, reliability and scalability.

- Certifications from Cloud providers will add to the merits of the requirement.

- Ability to create and read technical documentation and design diagrams.

- Demonstrated project management skills.

- Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization.
