Senior Relationship Manager - Supply Chain Finance (National Role: India)

Odyssey is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented and dynamic person to help scale Odysseys finance solutions for the rapidly growing renewable energy industry in India.

About the role:

The role will originate and manage key account relationships and provide account management support for companies across the renewable energy ecosystem across India including developers, IPPs, EPC players and equipment manufacturers. The role involves performing financial analysis, managing day to day operations and coordinating with various stakeholders internally as well as externally.

The role will report to the Country Director - India.

- You are an experienced finance and client service professional who enjoys serving clients with financial solutions.

- You thrive in fast-paced environments and are a self-starter who hustles to give clients a delightful experience by managing many projects/timelines simultaneously and anticipating and responding to client needs.

- You have a knack for building effective working relationships with a reputation for getting things done and have strong communication and presentation skills. You take joy and pride in closing transactions independently.

- You bring a good understanding of the working capital and fintech landscape for SMEs in India, particularly as it relates to the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) and rooftop solar segments.

- You are well-versed with financial analysis required to provide working capital products to SMEs.

- You have a good understanding of supply chain finance & procurement. Knowledge of C&I Solar sector and existing relationships with EPC players would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as the senior relationship contact for Odyssey's Supply Chain Credit (SCC) clients, ensuring they enjoy an exceptional customer experience and positioning Odyssey as their preferred supply chain partner.

- Assist local and global leadership teams with daily client relationship management and support vendor/partner engagement activities to foster ongoing business relationships.

- Oversee the execution of transactions, ensuring timely billing and collections.

- Work alongside internal teams to effectively implement business development initiatives aimed at building partnerships within the renewable energy sector and onboarding new clients.

- Ensure that internal procedures are followed during customer onboarding and ongoing business interactions.

- Engage in regular internal and external meetings to provide business updates.

- Follow up on meeting outcomes and collaborate with various teams at Odyssey.

- Ensure all deal pipelines and databases are kept current for smooth and accurate management reporting.

- Stay informed on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to aid strategic decision-making and business planning.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Graduate / Post Graduate / MBA or equivalent from a reputable institute.

- 3 to 7 years experience in client relationship management and account management handling supply chain finance, trade finance or other SME lending products

- Experienced in Excel financial modelling and conducting due diligence on borrowers

- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with client teams.

- Ability to set own agenda and priorities and self-manage one's own schedule

- Go-getter mindset with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, and a high level of process and detail orientation.

- Versatile team player with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
