The Finance department is responsible for preparing the financial statements of the company, including maintaining the financial records of the Company, day to day accounting, reporting statutory compliances among others. The department’s primary responsibilities are:

- Identify measure and record all business transactions of Ocwen units.

- Summarize and report the statement of operations, financial position and changes in financial position and other financial information related to Ocwen to both internal and external customers, and

- Establish and maintain a strong control environment ensuring accuracy of financial information and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

This position reports to Senior Manager, Finance

Responsibilities:

- Participate in the Accounting and reporting functions for Ocwen India entities.

- Ensure monthly closing process and account reconciliations, per RTB, are completed within the preset timelines.

- Devise processes to cut down close timelines by process improvements and automation of information flow from the source to the accounting systems.

- Collaborating with other finance team members on activities/projects connected within the overall framework of Controllership.

- Working with the tax team to ensure compliance with tax and other regulatory(government)compliances

- Assist in the development and maintenance of a system of internal controls that are Sarbanes-Oxley compliant.

- Support Company's other functions within the Finance umbrella- such as Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Internal Audit, Corp Strategy, etc.

- Supervise completion of monthly reports to management.

- Support management and business units through the preparation of analytical reports, trend and variance analysis

- Direct and participate in special projects & process re-engineering efforts.

- Facilitate cost saving through process improvements and providing inputs to management

- Have financial reviews with senior management in finance and the Business heads

- Liaise with the internal and statutory auditors to provide them with timely and accurate information requested.

Key Result Areas:

- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close and reporting activities.

- Understand, apply and adhere to applicable Accounting Policies and Principles.

- Enabling the team members to discharge their duties efficiently and effectively and set higher standards of performance.

- Explore, and drive process efficiency measures, methodologies, workflows, tools, technology and applications for productivity improvements.

- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements.

- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, timeliness and reliability in the team.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA). Additional CPA qualification preferred.

- 7 to 9 years post qualification experience in Controllership, Finance functions.

- Ability to work independently, with minimal day-to-day supervision.

- Ability to manage a team.

- Handled finance function for India entities in the past, including co-coordinating the audit of financials.

- Flexible and proactive, with a high degree of decision making capacity.

- Experience working with IGAAP, working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS preferable.

- Good conceptual and analytical skills.

- Smart with good interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
