About the role:

Looking for a passionate candidate for the role of a senior investment analyst. The role is expected to be dynamic since it is for an emerging asset management division currently in its nascent/early growth stage.

The candidate would get an opportunity to immerse and engage hands on in the investments industry, and play a part in developing the research, asset management & the multi- family office practice of the firm, in a very familial and congenial environment.

Ideal candidate would be:

- 7-12 Years of research experience across Indian / Global markets across asset classes including Equities, Fixed income, alternatives, portfolio hedging strategies etc.

- Passionate about investing, markets

Education: Post-graduation from a Tier 1 College / CA / CFA

Skills: Excel, PPT, BBG, Reuters, Ace Equity, etc.

Candidate would assist in, but not limited to the below tasks (Segregated by the task type):

Data Management:

- Gathering, organizing, summarizing - fundamental, price, and volume data for use in investment decisions and client presentations

- Historical back-tests, maintaining research dashboards

- Liaise with the internal back-office team to reconcile and review client portfolios for the portfolio management team

Research:

- Assist in Idea generation with a main focus on building factor based / Smart Beta portfolios

- Research and evaluate investment opportunities based on the above strategies, apart from occasional single-stock research, arbitrage opportunities etc.

- Tracking quarterly results, corporate actions of portfolio stocks, track and execute rebalancing of client portfolios, valuation for portfolio stocks etc.

- Assist in tracking, reviewing, and analysing investments in equities and other asset classes outside of India

Product:

- Create presentations on investment proposals, portfolio updates and reviews, investment opportunities - for a mix of internal use as well as for external clients

- Liaise with internal back-office and prepare presentations & summaries of client reports for portfolio review and rebalancing

- Liaise with external industry partners including representatives of other asset management companies to understand views on market, develop market intelligence, and accordingly establish industry relationships

Communication:

- Providing periodic portfolio updates to clients

- Communicate house view to internal and external audiences

- Handle and resolve portfolio and research queries from clients
