NR Group - Deputy General Manager/General Manager - Finance & Accounts - CA

Brief of Role :

Manage Company Accounting practices across the team, preparing Budgets, Financial Reports, Tax and Audit functions, Direct Financial Strategy, Planning and Forecasts. Study, Analyze and Report on Trends, Opportunities for expansion and projection of future Company Growth. Ensure prudence and transparency in financial/accounting transactions in compliance to regulatory frameworks and control systems

POSITION TITLE : DGM/GM Finance & Accounts

DEPARTMENT : Finance & Accounts

Job Profile :

- Plan, organize and supervise accounting-related functions including general accounting, policy development, audit preparation, accounting-related statutory compliance.

- Supervise personnel in providing accounting services including payables, receivables, general ledger, fixed assets register, tax accounting etc.

- Research, evaluate, develop and recommend general financial policies/procedures/manuals and modifications to existing methods to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

- Prepare or oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, reconciliations, and reports related to the Company's financial affairs; provide information, specific analysis, and appropriate training to others on financial and budgeting issues, etc.

- Respond to concerns and inquiries from other function, vendors, statutory agencies, employees, etc. related to accounting matters.

- Review and strengthen financial and accounting internal controls to ensure protection of the Company's financial resources.

- Prepare/review adjusting entries and schedules for annual audit; schedule audit and work with auditors in answering questions, providing necessary information and explaining accounting/financial system; review audit results and implement necessary/recommended internal controls and/or other revisions.

- In cooperation with the Information Support System personnel, develop business-related computer software applications.

- Ensure timely filing of Income Tax returns, follow up with the consultants for assessments, refunds etc.

- Maintain fixed asset inventory, facilities inventory.

Candidate Profile :

- Chartered Accountant with 10 to 15 years of experience

- Experience in large size organisation in FMCG sector is required.

- Proven experience in working in very high pressure target and timeline oriented environment.

- Age : >40

- Knowledge and experience in SAP

- Should have managed large teams. Experienced in managing financial and accounting functions in a large organisation.

- Willing to relocate to Mysore is a precondition for the job.
