CTS S2P prioritizes executing transitions, process and solution roadmaps. Implementing one service framework, performance measurements and S2P customer board

The role is responsible for supporting the GPO/Product Owner of a S2P sub process in the functional design of services and standard solutions and supporting their implementation. They will also upskill, train and develop the continuous improvement capability of S2P overall, as well in market and functional teams. They will be concerned with ensuring quality, compliance and productivity of the services and processes provided by GBS, managing continuous improvement initiatives and shaping the digital solution agenda.

The GPE will be supporting a sub-process/product in S2P. He or she will be supporting to manage the relationship with key customers of that sub-process, understanding customer needs and requirements to be able to input into the customer board, formulate the solution and service strategy, include all compliance related matters (NFCM), define KPIs for the service, specify the solution and system requirements, and manage and prioritize demand for the service.

He or she will also be supporting identifying and initiating quality and continuous improvement activity for the sub-process.

The role touches in principle all Novartis employees and our global Supply Base.

The role will be part of the related S2P Product in the Product Led approach and working closely with a team of SME's in the dedicated product and related dedicated IT FTE's, Novartis NGSC P2P leads, Business Champions and Outsourced parties. The role will support the integrated Product approach in LDC.

Major Accountabilities

Leadership and Management

- Partner with stakeholders on a Global, Regional and Local level as considered applicable to ensure the successful deliver of timely, high quality and compliant services. Stakeholders to include business leads, Business Partners, CTS Heads, Service Delivery Leads (NGSC & large country), TCS (outsource partner) and LDC Program, FC&C and legal.

- Support cross divisional engagement and alignment for all decisions impacting processes, systems, and operation activities

- Manage interaction with all internal and external stakeholders related to the S2P Sub process

- Prepares the annual business plan for the respective area of responsibility

- Support the consolidation, prioritisation, planning and management of business demand for the solutions in the respective domain

- Develop the functional or cross-functional roadmap for the respective E2E business process, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide business capability roadmaps (including systems) as well as the evolving business process strategy set by the S2P GPO.

Implementation and Operations

- Support the process/service strategy creation for a specific process or sub-process

- Support the end-to-end process/service design & build for a specific process or sub-process

- Prepare demand for the solution

- Support and create the implementation plan of the solution and service strategy for the sub-process

- Create and drive agreement on KPIs/SLAs for the service (with both the customer and the operations organization)

- Collect solution and system requirements to enable design and build

- Validate and prepare compliance of sub-process solution against the overall solution governance framework

Compliance

- Embed adequate controls in standard processes which are compliant with the requirements of NFCM and SOX 404 and achieves successful external and internal audit endorsements

- Collaborate with FRA OPS Financial Controls & Compliance and Group Financial Controls & Compliance teams to ensure process compliance, and to ensure controls are improving by measuring the right controls while simplifying and automating whenever possible

- Monitor all internal and external audit issues relating to the standard process and ensures timely completion of action plans

People Management

- Standardization, harmonization and reliability of processes, systems, procedures and controls across Novartis

- Successfully rolls out of standard Finance Core sub-processes and systems

Ideal Background

Education:

(minimum/desirable)

- Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration, or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Minimum of 2+ years of progressive work experience in process management or process improvement, as well as (ideally) some experience of operational delivery of these services

- Experience with systems implementation and landscape

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in working with international teams

- International and intercultural experience

Languages:

- Excellent English (written and spoken)

- Any other European language will be a plus

Experience:

- Basic understanding of a S2P end-to-end process/product

- Good experience in process design and process mapping, ideally within Shared Services

- Familiarity with project management and lean six sigma approaches, tools and phases of project lifecycle

- Experience in meeting planning and facilitation of physical and virtual workshops in a global working environment

- Experience of coordinating solution governance (incl. build of enterprise model, functional advice for process content), data for the end-to-end solution and prioritizing demand

- Understanding to define guidelines for solution build and delivery

- Knowledge in designing for and improving process quality, process review and compliance

- Pro- active (engaging & impact-oriented) mindset, ability to think end-to-end with a global mindset

- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups) especially when interacting with different levels of business

- Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required

- Fluent English (verbal and written),

- Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), proficient in MS Office
