Northern Arc Capital - Associate Director - Capital Markets

Job Objective:

This position is related to marketing and placing of transactions structured by Northern Arc Capital. The position will play a key role in expanding access to the debt capital markets for many emerging asset classes.

Key Accountabilities:

This position will be primarily responsible for the following:

- Develop a strong investor franchise for Northern Arc Capital's transactions

- Create and maintain a database of wide range of investors (mutual funds, banks, NBFCs, private wealth managers, insurance companies, pension funds, offshore investors)

- Arrange for meetings with potential investors and make a presentations/pitches for Northern Arc Capital transactions and asset classes

- Conduct regular follow-up calls and meetings with current and potential investors

- Create deep relationships with investors and build a strong investor franchise

- Market and place Northern Arc Capital's transactions with debt capital market investors

- Ability to understand investor requirements/market feedback and communicate to the structuring team towards new structures

- Negotiate terms, pricing, documentation

- Manage end to end transaction closure

- Provide post transaction support to investors

- Provide inputs for transaction structuring and new asset classes

- Develop a sound understanding of the sectors and entities that the firm represents, through field visits, data analysis and interactions with internal teams

- Develop a sound understanding of the products that IFMR Capital has developed, including regulations, tax, excel modelling and documentation

- Be at the forefront of gauging investor appetite for new asset classes/products

- Provide feedback to structuring and origination teams

- Networking within the industry

- Represent Northern Arc Capital at conferences and seminars.

- Create visibility for Northern Arc Capital amongst debt capital market investors

Specifications: qualifications, experience, & competencies:

We are seeking candidates who have:

- 7-10 years of relevant experience in investment banking or corporate finance

- Strong sales experience and networking skills

- Experience in working with a large number of public sector financial institutions (across banks and insurance companies). Existing networks in these organisations

- Understanding of structured products

- Interest in financial inclusion and the opportunities that this space represents

- Educational qualification: MBA or CA
