Noon - Senior Manager - Finance - CA/CFA (8-15 yrs)
DESCRIPTION
The Finance Senior Manager will directly report to the General Manager New Ventures. This role will oversee the finance function of noon Food, noon group's food delivery business. The position will build the finance function of noon Food including the team, processes, and systems. The role will oversee all accounting activities of noon Food. In addition, the role will lead the annual budgeting process and closely monitor the business performance versus budget. Finally, the role will act as a strategic adviser to the General Manager New Ventures identifying areas of financial and operational improvement. The position will act as the ultimate control tower to ensure both financial and operational objectives are met.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accounting:
- Ensure monthly and annual financial statements are issued accurately and on-time
- Oversee Accounts Payables function; ensure payments to restaurants and suppliers are issued accurately and on-time
- Oversee Accounts receivables function; ensure receivables from customers and restaurants are paid accurately and on-time
- Oversee all bank reconciliations activities
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Assist the central noon group finance team in the quarterly review and annual audit with external and internal auditors
2. Systems and process:
- Recruit, train and manage the finance function team
- Set-up and improve the finance function policies and processes
- Set-up, improve and manage all finance systems
3. Business Finance:
- Own the end-to-end annual budgeting process for the food function
- Monitor and track performance versus budget
- Identify areas of financial and operational improvements and flag risks
- Prepare financial updates to the board
What does the Ideal candidate look like?
- 8+ years of professional experience in a top accounting firm or in a finance function
- Excellent knowledge of financial accounting and cash flow management
- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience in building and managing teams
- Self-starter mentality, entrepreneurial and hustler
- Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- CA/CPA/ACCA certification
- Previous e-commerce experience preferred
- Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or economics. MBA preferre
