Customer understanding

- Be the voice of the customer internally

- Anticipate customer needs and incorporate them into the functional roadmap

- Drive enhancement for customer experience influencing category needs based on their knowledge of competitive trends in the marketplace and other macro environment data.

- Stay on top of changing trends and strategic priorities through in-depth data analysis to predict customer behavior

Demand Planning, Forecasting and Category Management

- End to End Assortment, Selection, Inventory, Sales, Budget Planning and Forecasting and driving execution with key P&L metrics to drive growth of the categories and sub-categories

- Develop a short-term and long-term plan for business growth and work with senior management stakeholders on a regular basis on the state of key business metrics and initiatives to achieve category vision

- Coordinate forecast with corporate, develop build plan and communicate to all required parties

- Recommend buys based on thorough analysis of retail business prior to each market to achieve increased sales, profitability and sell-through %

- Create and implement inventory targets and allocation strategies to maximize inventory placement, turns, sales, and customer experience

- Innovate Promotions and Site features to improve customer experience.

- Invent and drive continuous process improvement and automation across our systems to allow us to scale a fast-growing business

- Develop attribute level buying guides for buyers to consume and stay true to the USP of the E-commerce

- Work with internal sourcing, quality & design team to track key project milestones, ensure processes are followed for review & reporting of the same

- Work with buying and sourcing teams to plan inventory, ensure inventory sufficiency &reduce non-selling inventory

Pricing and Merchandising Strategic Understanding

- Suggest and Develop the right pricing strategy - identify opportunities for giving customers value through intelligent and limited discounting.

- Work cohesively with teams to use innovative discounting and promotions to drive portfolio mix and achieve strategic goals on revenue ,conversions and margins

- Develop and execute plans to showcase the right products

- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities

- Own the customer experience in the category - make navigation, discovery easier. Save the customer time

- Identify the parameters customers use to make decisions and ensure catalog richness

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

- Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases

- Ability to manage and drive end to end P&L, Planning, Forecasting, and driving an online business.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is desired.

- Showcase a strong business judgment with a track record of strong ownership values and relationship management skills

- Willingness to take project ownership and use customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities

- Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)

Basic Qualifications:

- An understanding and passion for E-Commerce

- 4 -7 years of work experience is preferred

- Experience in Business, Category Management, Planning, Buying, Selling or Finance

- Strong numerical and analytical aptitude with influencing abilities

- Proven leading cross- functional projects

- Ability to think in a fast-paced environment

- Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines

- Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools

- Innovative, team oriented, and have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities

- Taking ownership and be flexible, action and result oriented

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced degree in related field or equivalent years of experience

- SQL /Big Query knowledge would be additional preference

- Prior experience in Strategic Planning and Category Management in E-commerce

- Market Knowledge of India, China and Dubai would be additional preference
