Nomura - Associate - Index Structuring

Roles and responsibilities :

- Enhance research platform for existing or new trading strategies

- Design and develop both client and server side components leveraging best industry practices

- Analyse various data-sources and devise optimal retrieval and data quality solutions

- Support global business groups with timely response/escalation

- Working as a fully integrated member of the newly setup Equity Digital office of the global markets, supporting senior team members in designing systems and strategies

- Gain knowledge of the relevant backtesting systems, strategies and models developed by Equity Digital Office team

Skills required:

- Knowledge of finance, and statistics. CFA level I preferred.

- Good written and oral communication skills

- Excellent organisational skills

- Strong Analytical skills

- Enthusiasm for using technology to solve challenging problems.

- Comfortable with large databases / datasets

- Hands on application development experience using python

- Excellent problem solving and design skills with event-driven server-side distributed architecture
