Nomura - Associate - CAO Function - Global Market (4-10 yrs)

Role :

- We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the Powai Global Markets CAO function.

- She/he will work closely with the Global Markets management team.

- She/he will support and maintain smooth operations of the division, contribute towards business management, prepare management packs, be involved in governance & risk management, change management, and effectively manage processes. In addition, she/he will look at Business Continuity Planning, talent management, infrastructure management etc.

- This role supports the Powai GM business in driving key business initiatives that are critical for the growth and day-to-day operations of the franchise and development of the franchise.

- The role requires working with various functions in the GM space - Structuring, FO Risk, International Wealth Management, Business Resource Management, FID and Algo Quants, Research, Prime Services, ETS and Business Management.

- She/he will act as an interface between business and corporate functions (IT, Legal & Compliance, Risk, Finance, Audit).

- Close coordination with business management teams in regions (interaction with global CAOs and stakeholders).

Responsibilities:

1. Business Management, Administration, Budgeting

a. Owning and driving divisional projects and programs.

b. Senior management presentations.

c. Leadership meetings - Agenda, Minutes and Action items.

d. Gather data from multiple sources and prepare MIs and performance metrics for insightful actions.

e. Headcount tracking and billing, Joiner/ Leaver / Transfer related activities.

f. Budgeting and cost monitoring, expense approvals, ensuring adherence to T&E policy.

2. Governance, Risk management & Transition management

a. Manage priorities with other corporate and control functions to maximize performance of the GM platform while minimizing risk.

b. Regulatory compliance, policy violations management.

c. Operational risk management and events.

d. EUC (end user computing) related governance.

e. Contributing to creation and administrating the Supervision framework.

f. Broader governance related activities.

g. Ensure timely thorough documentation (SLA/SoW/Assessment & Process docs) for any new business/activities. Continuous review and updating of documents including annual recertification.

3. Business Continuity Management

a. BIA/BCP - Business Impact Analysis Documents and Business Continuity Plans.

b. Putting together and executing the BCM Strategy (BIA/ BCP).

c. Annual Re-certifications of BIA/BCP, Monthly Disaster Recovery check points.

4. Infrastructure Planning and Management

a. Seat/Floor planning and management

a. IT Infra - planning, inventory maintenance, and monitoring.

b. Market data and other vendor management.

b. Tracking and resolving IT issues in a timely manner.

c. Coordinate regarding UAT and implementation of various major infra. upgrades.

5. People Initiatives

Work closely with HR and various internal committees for planning, ideation and execution of various initiatives around talent sourcing (e.g. campus hiring), networking , engagement activities and CSR initiatives.
