Operations Manager - Startup Experience Profile: Operations Manager Location: BKC, Mumbai Designation: Operations Manager Work From Office Nivoda is looking for an Operations Manager to work for its India office, who will manage diamond buyers and co-ordinate diamond purchases from India and Hong Kong for our global customers. About Nivoda : Nivoda is an extremely fast growing B2B marketplace revolutionizing the way the global diamond industry operates. Nivoda connects buyers and sellers of diamonds on its online platform and facilitates the most transparent, efficient, and cost-effective way to sell and buy diamonds. Nivoda's sales have grown over 200% in the last 12 months and the team has grown from 30 to 70 FTE globally. Job Description: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Oversee organizational activities related to diamond purchase, supplier and customer communications and ensure operations run smoothly - Manage group of diamond buyers and ensure timely fulfilment of customer orders - Improvise ways to fulfil specific and special needs of customers - Process oriented and focus on standardizing processes and workflows - Collaborate with Supplier relations team to get better deals from suppliers, help in negotiations and increase supplier base - Support new business initiatives and brainstorm ways to increase business - Have periodic discussions with suppliers and customers and help in sorting out problems faced by them - Perform Quality Controls and monitor operational KPI's - Data driven approach to increase business and solve problems - Improve operational management systems by working with technical team and suggesting appropriate features to improve efficiency - Formulate strategies to improve performance and make the operations lean - Find ways to improve customer service and implement best practices - Recruit, Train, Supervise and mentor your team members and support their professional development Requirements: - Excellent communication skills - Experience in leadership position in startups - At least 7 years of work experience - Min. 3 years demonstrable experience as Operations Manager or a similar role in a leadership position - Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications - Familiarity with business and financial principles and outstanding organizational skills - MBA is preferred Perks: - Opportunity to join a fast-growing company at an early stage - Potential to move to a Lead role when the team expands - Lots of responsibility - as one of the first employees you have a huge part in defining the company and development culture
