Associate Product Manager - Ecommerce

Ecommerce Nicobar is a modern Indian lifestyle brand (clothing, home, travel) that has been omnichannel from day one. In a short period of less than three years, the company has expanded to 11 stores and has a strong online presence - www.nicobar.com / www.instagram.com/nicojournal

This is a key role which will look at strategy and development of all online and omnichannel customer experience. You will Report to the Head of Digital Business. You will make decisions based on current best practices in e-commerce and retail companies, and data analytics.

As an Associate Product Manager, you will be part of the Digital Product Team where you will work closely with developers, marketers, designers and data analysts to offer our guests frictionless online and omni-channel experiences. 


Key Responsibilities :

- Establish and drive the product strategy and vision for Nicobar's e-commerce site and omnichannel initiatives

- Manage new product development and feature roadmap from planning to implementation by collaborating with cross functional teams, including Technology, Marketing, Customer Service, Graphic Design, Merchandising, and Finance and Operations - Coordinate sprint planning, standups, UAT testing and QA reviews

- Lead the implementation and optimization of key features such as product discovery, checkout, payment methods, transactional emails, general order management, return management to improve the customer experience

- Generate detailed documentation and requirements- Convey by creating effective user stories, functional requirements, wireframes and/or mockups

- Help to scope, plan and execute various tasks, including coordination of assets and timing

- Help analyze data, evaluate features and understand user needs and pain points, proactively identify gaps in the current online experience and lead the effort to develop solutions that drive business value

- Identify, assess, and prioritize initiatives that help customers more seamlessly transact on our platform.

- Monitor the competitive landscape by examining strategies of best-in-class omnichannel retailers; identifying emerging online trends and recommend changes based on customer and competitor insights

- Analyze site metrics/customer journeys and develop hypotheses for optimization based on business goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and objectives

- Work closely with ecommerce operational teams to develop and enhance workflow processes and maximize the potential of existing product capabilities

- Develop reports that provide an overview of product performance and post-launch results and develop success metrics

- Review customer feedback, conduct surveys and user testing to capture feedback and communicate findings clearly and constructively with the team

- Organize and evaluate A/B tests around new feature releases

- Provide Knowledge Transfer of existing or new features to relevant teams

- Manage Terms of Service updates and other legal coordination and approvals The Ideal Candidate:

- Ability to work in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment

- 2+ years experience in a product management role in a consumer facing environment. Scrum experience a plus

- Able to work extremely effectively in cross functional teams, adept at synthesizing a variety of inputs

- Understand user experience or Design Thinking - ability to translate business strategy and customer needs into product requirements

- Strong quantitative, qualitative and problem-solving skills

- Self-starter; ability to act autonomously

- Stellar time management and organizational skills; be able to work on multiple, concurrent projects and juggle multiple priorities

- Transparent and clear communicator with low ego - quickly grasp and effectively communicate concepts to those with and without digital expertise

- Have an exemplary and constant attention to detail and desire to execute accurately

- Content Management System experience

- Google Analytics experience

- Be proficient in Microsoft Office products
