Chief Technology Officer - Co Founder


- Looking for an energetic, visionary partner with a FIRE to build cutting edge products, not an employee.

- This is an equity based role.

"nexMark" aims to build a fast and smooth updated education and learning system with the Objective-based learning approach for students and professionals that focuses on practical learning as per the present demand of the corporate.

Started in 2018 as a Training Hub and registered as a Pvt. Ltd company in September 2020, nexMark education Pvt. Ltd is a DPIIT recognized Ed-tech startup, we have operationally proven our business model, and are now looking for full-fledged growth. We are already on our path to build cutting edge technology right now, and are in the lookout for an ambitious CTO to be a part of the journey. You'll be part of the founding team.

Preferable Qualification:

- Candidates with 5+ years of experience in mobile app and web development with demonstrable achievements and strong academic background

- Mastery of iPhone and / or Android (Objective C, Java, iPhone SDK, Android SDK)

- Command of several programming languages: (i) Essential: Laravel, React.js (ii) Desirable: Python

- Strong knowledge of user interface designing patterns

- 1+ year experience in data science, machine learning libraries is preferable

- Experience with front end development such as React JS, HTML 5 and other javascript libraries

- Extensive hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases like MySQL, NoSQL, Postgres, MongoDB

- Test-driven Development Pluses: Experience writing server-side APIs, as well as familiarity with backend as a service

- Strong coding, data structures and algorithms.

- Experience or keen interest to take ownership of code deployment in Linux based servers, Docker, Jenkins.

- Experience with cloud computing and DevOps with Amazon Web Services and experience building large-scale server applications

- Experience in agile development processes (Scrum) and managing Team Members and Project deliveries

- Experience in building scalable products, platforms and modern technologies

Responsibilities:

- Driving product development by focusing on the technology architecture, database structure, logic & algorithms and the product strategy to achieve the objectives of our technology offerings

- Manage coding as well as recruiting and training the team through the entire product development lifecycle; Owning the product development process from start to finish with clearly defined objectives, managed through an efficient process

- Having a clear line of sight and understanding of the business strategy, business model and the learning & development industry

- Being able to identify new ways to leverage technology and also identify newer and more viable technologies to replace existing technology standards

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills articulate and able to communicate effectively at all levels

- Take complete ownership of constantly improving products & brainstorm to ideate that we can execute over time.
