Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Architect who will help us in the digital transformation of eFreight suite through a world-class product focused on quality and the customer. High level of modernization efforts includes User Interface modernization, transforming monolithic legacy product to microservices SaaS platform, API/EDI integrations, workflow automation, robust automation framework for testing and leveraging emerging, disruptive technologies (IoT, blockchain, AI/ML, RPA) to enhance offerings for customers. Key Responsibilities: - Provides technical leadership and guidance to product development teams and Owns the Product Architecture. - Propose architectural design in alignment with business requirements and able to justify technically the design considerations between the different available technologies - Assess, review, test and implement various architectures and design patterns and work with the development teams to ensure alignment to the architecture. - Have oversight over the architecture, working with technical leads to ensure the systems and solutions you develop are flexible, loosely coupled and deliver performance that is appropriate for a business need. - Ensure an efficient software methodology is in place, aligned to agile/lean principles, learning and iterating frequently highly collaborative and regularly improved. - Picks up a critical software component and contribute to hands-on development. - Align to the DevOps principles and toolsets being established with high degrees of automation throughout the development process. Continuous integration, continuous deployment and continuous operational monitoring are baseline goals. - Ensure that security, reliability, high availability and performance are embedded into the team skills, development process and architecture. - Engage across the organization with business partners to gain buy-in on prioritization, with agreement on the key performance metrics which will be impacted. - Measure and monitor the solutions you develop, regularly reviewing operational metrics to validate the effectiveness of your product in meeting customer needs. - Excellent knowledge of emerging, modern platforms and tools, using the correct product where appropriate, especially open source and open standards. - Communicate through email, presentations, informal meetings right across the organization (including executive team) to share learnings, insight and plans, gathering feedback and influencing in the process. - Role model self-driven skill development within the team, promoting learning events and facilitating individual needs. Candidate Profile: - Good hands-on experience in Microservices Architecture Patterns and Domain Driven Design, Swagger/OpenAPI, both producing and consuming the service endpoints. - Experience with GraphQL, gRPC , HTTP/2 implementations is a plus - Knowledge of modern data architectures (e.g. event-driven architectures, data democratization, platform approaches to support ML/AI at scale, stream processing, and integrating real-time analytics into customer applications) - Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Go. - Familiar with Modern Front-End JavaScript frontend JavaScript framework libraries Angular JS/ ReactJS, NodeJS, TypeScript, NPM etc. - Understanding of Modern security practices, Secure coding and prevention of vulnerabilities - Should have worked in an Agile software development environment. Experience with DevOps toolchain - GIT, Jenkins and build tools - Gradle/ Maven - Good knowledge of Infrastructure as Software (Container Orchestration, Observability, CI/CD) technologies- Docker, Kubernetes, ServiceMesh, Serverless Familiarity with the following is a plus: Shell scripting, Python, Nodejs, Golang, Helm charts, Oauth, JWT, IAM - Ability to translate general market requirements and customer needs into technical requirements (or roadmaps), ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience esp. to explain economic benefits of the technical solution. - Able to relate to both technical and non-technical people and to negotiate within the allowable parameters of the product to get the best outcome for the business - Must have demonstrable experience working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Good to have skills: - Understanding of logistics industry or Supply chain management domain - Familiarity with the open-source trends and emerging technologies like Logistics 4.0, IIoT, Blockchain, advanced analytics using machine learning, RPA automation etc. - Hands-on experience in middleware messaging systems - Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kafka Connector Architecture, Adapter in handling various file formats, clustering model - Experience in API / EDI integration design, and implementation of integration patterns including Bulk Data, ETL, Real-Time Data, File-Based, Process Integrations, and Event Processing - Experience with B2B EDI integration concepts, standards (ANSI ASC X12, UN/EDIFACT, XML) and Knowledge of Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) Newage is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
