Job Description :
- Product extension/new product planning, development & launch
- To understand the customer insight for the product, branding, marketing mix, etc.
- Analysis of data.
- Select/Identify new vendors, manufacturer and concepts for new products or product improvement.
- Plan & coordinate all aspects of R & D proposals. Closely work with R&D & cross functional teams to ideate, adapt & develop new products from conceptualization, consumer research, creating launch plan and eventually the launch.
- Competition Tracking, Updates and Analysis with Direct competitors with respect to product pricing, Packaging, new launch, catalogue and their strategies
- Articulating brand and product positioning for different customer segments and implementing and executing the positioning proposition
- To track brand health, understand major brand/category issues and determine timely market intervention
- Evaluation of new product ideas, audit of findings, providing strategic inputs, negotiating formulation and attribute changes within the COGS parameters through the entire process of New Product Development.
- Work closely with advertising agencies related to development of product labels, brochures etc.
- Make product presentations and impart product trainings.
- Ability to command respect across the organization based on professionalism and expertise
