New Product Development Manager - Pharma & Personal Care - Digital Health Startup

About us

We are an early stage digital health startup (currently operating in stealth mode), focusing on improving access to healthcare. We are looking for someone who is passionate about healthcare, building & launching awesome products, creating awesome customer experiences, and scaling businesses.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Understand consumer needs and requirements, and translate them into new products and services that will help grow and retain new customers

- Analyze market and product data to identify trends and consumer needs

- Propose suitable opportunities and metrics for evaluation and decision-making

- Identify, negotiate, and close deals with suppliers, manufacturers, service providers, partners, etc. to develop products/services

- Brainstorm ideas and develop action plans and timelines to bring products from development to launch

- Set performance metrics with the team to assess success and develop plans for future launches

- Collaborate with marketing, design, tech, medical, regulatory, and distributions teams to execute the action plan and ensure new products/services are brought to customers as planned

- Closely monitor action plans and timelines, and hustle when necessary to make sure timelines and milestones are being met

- Analyze data and insights to evaluate performance, improve products, services, and effectiveness of all product development efforts

- Set frameworks and processes for new product development to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of all efforts

- Monitor all deals and partnerships to ensure these are aligned with the agreed terms and expectations

- Stay updated with local trends and market opportunities, and think ahead to identify opportunities aligned with the company's goals and priorities

- Any other responsibilities related to the business

Key Requirements

- Degree in Medicine / Pharmacy / Biotechnology

- Degree in Business from a good institute

- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in new product development and proven record in successfully bringing new products to market, at a large healthcare or personal care company

- Upto 5 years of team management/leadership experience

- Hands-on experience in market analysis, identifying new products/services, developing business cases, identifying suppliers/partners and negotiating deals

- Hands-on experience in developing and implementing launch strategies and action plans

- Hand-on experience in setting up internal frameworks and processes and new product development

- Prior experience in a digital health startup will be an added advantage

- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team

- Self-driven leader who takes ownership and leads by example

- Self-starter with the ability to understand requirements, think strategically about business priorities, and act proactively

- Excellent collaboration, persuasion, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
