Neterwala Group - Group Costing Lead

Position Details:

Position Title: Group Costing and control Lead 

Function / Business: Refinish, Sales

Grade: Band 2/3 Location: Mumbai HO

Position reporting to: Group Chief Finance Officer (Group CFO)

Section I: Purpose of the Role

This role is accountable for strategic cost management at the group level through collaboration and supervision of Cost accounting practices across all the group companies. The purpose of this role is to act as a strategic adviser and enabler of activity-based costing practices across the group companies. The role is also responsible to drive the implementation and usage of costing software across the group.

Section II: Responsibilities/Accountability Clusters and Principal Activities

Strategic cost accounting:

- Implementation of strategic activity-based costing (Direct and Indirect costs) practices across the group companies by collaborating with the local accounts and operations team.

- Drive and ensure Working of detailed product/material/labour/machine wise cost allocation across all the Group companies.

- As a member of the Group finance team, develop and implement the comprehensive long-term Costing plans across the group companies.

- Discussing overhead costs with SKU heads and ensure preparation of measures for Cost Control.

Profitability:

- Managing SKU-wise costing data to ensure Customer Level Profitability.

- Making a detailed analysis of actual Raw Material and Packing Material Cost and comparing the same with a budget.

- collaborate and ensure Plant level/company level Working of the SKU Wise profitability

ERP Tool for cost accounting:

- Drive and implement the costing software across the group by collaborating with the local finance team at the group/plant level.

- Device the Methodology / Integration of data flow System

Cost Modeling:

- Responsible for strategizing, preparing, and driving the implementation of cost modeling for different product lines across the Group companies.

Section III: Scope of the Role

Financial Scope /Other: Costing at all Group companies/Plants

Geographical Coverage: All group companies and its plants spread across Mumbai, Pune, Ahmednagar, Dharwad, and Nashik

People Management Scope

a) Positions reporting to this position/role: Nil

b) Range of no. of Indirect Reports /Off Role: Cost accounting team across all the group companies

Section V: Role Requirements/Specifications

QualificationEssential: ICWA

Previous Experience:12-15 years experience in Industrial Manufacturing Setup only.

Nature of Experience:

- Has a managerial capability to drive actions at Group company levels.

- Has worked on an ERP tool/software related to cost accounting. Experience of the implementation of costing software will be an added advantage.

- At least 70 % experience in Manufacturing industries

- Handled the costing practices at Multi plants or Multiple companies level
