Neovia Logistics - Lease Accounting Analyst

Lease Accounting Analyst Reports to: Accounting Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

- Lease identification and assessment through contract reviews

- Accounting and application of ASC 842 on in-scope contracts

- Set-up new leases and validation of lease data and attributes in Lease Accounting System (LeaseCal)

- Validation of system-generated journal entries and preparation of any manual journal entries as necessary

- Reconciliation of system reports against general ledger and investigate/resolve variances timely

- Work closely with Real Estate, Procurement teams, Corporate Accounting and Consolidation team on lease related topics

- Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed to support routine reviews, accounting and financial reporting needs

- Ensure all necessary controls, processes, and procedures are in place and executed properly

Qualifications/Additional Skills & Abilities:

- Bachelors and Masters's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

- 4 - 8 years accounting experience in general ledger/accounting activities (preferably 1-2 years in lease accounting)

- Working knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 842)/ IFRS 17/Indian GAAP (Ind AS 17) Lease Accounting standard would be an added advantage

- Solid experience with General Ledger system (preferably SAP Experience)

- High level proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel required

- Strong communications skills (written/verbal) with emphasis on working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

- Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrates a sense of urgency, consistently delivers on commitments, and takes initiative
