Here is the JD for the position of merchandise and supply chain analyst.

Merchandising Analyst - scope of work

- Monitor store /online category sales

- Supervise physical inventory

- Identify trends in sales

- Monitoring the timing and scope of seasonal changes

- Maintain desired inventory levels and assortments

- Schedule deliveries and oversee shipping, receiving and warehousing of merchandise

- Develop supply strategies that will minimize stockouts while maximizing inventory turns.

- Provide guidance about selling patterns, the timing of future purchases, and purchasing philosophies

- Guide merchandise and marketing on new developments and marketing strategy.

- Category and price point analysis

- Collect data on supply chain operations with reference to delays, delivery lead times for every department and overall analysis of supply chain delivery performance

- Analyse data to identify areas of supply chain operations to improve efficiency.

- Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain operations.

- Assess vendor operations and enforce compliance with quality standards.

- Measure supply chain performance and report to management.

- Work with the procurement, logistics and IT departments to enhance service delivery.
