National Sales Manager

About the Brand :

We are looking for a National Sales Manager to lead our offline sales expansion.

About the Role :

The NSM will be responsible for :

a. Building and managing the sales team (manpower, productivity, HR issues etc)

b. Building and managing the sales channel (distributors, retailers in MT and GT)

c. Meeting sales targets

d. Inputs into all major areas of company strategy (sales targets, Mktg plans, product pipeline)

Mumbai based - but requires Pan India travel

About the Candidate :

Prior Work Experience :

1. Open to both Frontline sales background OR post-B School Mgmt Trainee background

a. Frontline sales : 15+ years with exposure to both GT and MT

b. Post-B School Mgmt Trainee : 6+ years of Sales experience

2. Managed teams of people located across different cities and regions

3. Worked across multiple cities and states; ideally in different zones

4. High performer recognized with rapid progression and awards thru career

5. Experience of implementing and driving processes to :

a. Monitor sales team productivity

b. Drive tertiary offtake thru channel partnerships with retailers and distributors and on ground execution (visibility, sampling etc.)

c. Train and manage promoters to drive promoter led sales

d. Monitor and maintain working capital requirements

6. Added plus :

a. Worked in companies with BTL marketing led sales strategy or limited marketing budgets

b. Experience of a startup brand or new division within an existing company; where you've had to a setup sales team, channel network from scratch

Qualifications & Personal Qualities :

1. Bachelors degree is a must; MBA is a plus (but open to strong candidates, from frontline sales backgrounds too)
