National Sales Manager - Branded Outlets & Franchisee Outlets (8-15 yrs)

Level & Span: National Sales manager - Exclusively Branded Outlets & Franchisee Outlets

Reports to : VP-Operations and the Regional Sales Managers (EBO) shall report into him his direct reportees.

Key Focus Areas:

- Will be a Profit Centre Head for Retail Operations with aim of achieving pre-set & committed targets

- Responsible for Sales, Daily Operations and upkeep of all stores across the country

- Responsible for the strategic Plan for - Like to like- growth for each store with a 3 year growth strategy

- Ensure that high standards of customer services are rendered to the customers by maintaining the best grooming standards of the store staff and availability of fast running products all the time

- Review Weekly & Monthly sales figures to figure out sales & customer buying trends to plan the future action plans. Conduct all review meetings at regular intervals to bring in continuous improvements & also understand challenges faced by his mangers

- Work very closely with all the Brand Heads to recommend the criteria, phasing & dispatch of garments from the central warehouse to different regions for an effective sales & timely clearance of stocks

- Ensuring Healthy ABV's and UPT's are maintained across each region with a healthy sell thru round the year

- Strategize the Customer retention plan of all high performing stores and also improvement in conversion percentage by increasing Basket quantity using upselling skills

- Work on responding very fast upon all customer complaints and close all cases of customer grievances till the end satisfaction limit possible. Also approve deviations in SOPs in very exceptional cases

- Work very closely with the Head-Supply Chain and his Regional Sales Managers for logistics & reverse logistics of garments; to ensure right space availability on all stores at all given point of time

- Review & develop innovative & cost effective stock generation; monitors stock weekly to achieve bottom line sales budget against monthly targets

- Will review all internal & external audit reports and take appropriate actions to avoid all potential losses by means of shortages and other SOP violations by Store Managers

- Cutting down OPEX in the stores wherever possible and ensuring an optimum cost model for the healthy P & L of all stores. Should follow the per person and per square feet costing models

- Responsible for quick opening of all new stores after the space is signed-off by the BD department and the Projects department initiates the design and fitments. He should be able to identify the potential markets and hence give vital inputs to BD department for searching new spaces.

- Will have to take a lead role in building a strong sales management culture within his operations team. Also, will be required to spend time on coaching the Regional & Area Managers, providing advice and guidance on how to reach operational efficiency levels

- Proactively manage and review the performance and progress of all Regional Managers and their regions, their set objectives and targets - Will constantly require to map competition data and market trends to provide inputs and recommend product allocation to the Planning department of each brand accordingly

- Will work with the HR Business Partners to ensure people management issues are satisfactorily resolved and relevant HR policies and procedures are adhered to. Also will be a part of the disciplinary, grievance, capability hearings and appeals as and when required

- Review and recommend the right Organization structure of his team and work upon conflict resolution with help of Senior HR manager. Should be able to conduct Skip level meetings along with HR Business partner

- Review performances of his team periodically and take appropriate decisions of Job rotation, Transfers, assigning additional responsibilities & projects, recommending promotions etc.

- Will closely monitor all sales team training programs and work closely with the Learning & Development Head to identify hi-potentials & develop individual training plans for the operations team to expand & create human resource pipeline to take up next level roles in the company

- Assertive and ability to lead from the front

- Extensive & varied business experience including relevant multi-site operations with larger team in the Retail format

- Experienced in managing relationships at a senior level and managing conflicts effectively

- Good understanding of financial numbers and P & L concepts

- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against a business strategy

- Must possess a track record of increasing and sustaining sales growth and profitability even in challenging market conditions such as the current economic climate

- Good understanding of SOPs required to run EBO business effectively in the apparel industry

- MBA in Retail from a known institute

- Self-starter & self-motivated

- Maturity to handle a vast set of people

- Ability to work in dynamic & stressful work conditions

- Pan India operations experience in fast Fashion Retail set-up

- High on Influencing and Negotiation Skills

- High on Integrity, Passion and Humility

- Strong Analytical Skills & Numerical ability

- Good team handling skills
