Our client is a leading FMCG company with a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction; they have established themselves as a prominent player in the FMCG industry. We are now seeking a highly experienced and motivated National Sales Manager to lead general trade sales efforts and drive growth.
- Looking for people only from FMCG Industry.
- Candidate must have worked as RSM for minimum 3years
- Post Grad in Marketing from IIM's/XL/FMS/SPJIMR/MDI/SIBM etc. with 10-12 years of hard core FMCG Sales experience of which at least last 2 years in Regional / National Leadership Role.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the general trade sales teams in translating strategy into sales business plans and go-to-market strategy within budgeted costs.
- Prepare and maintain annual sales & distribution plans to deliver budgeted revenue, Profit and Brand equity targets for the year based on category and channel.
- Handling PAN India Sales, Marketing & Distribution for, GT Channel.
- Enhance market penetration by setting up and managing the General trade distribution.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share goals within the general trade segment.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing national sales team, including Regional Sales Managers and Sales Executives, to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities, channels, and potential partners within the general trade sector to increase brand presence and sales.
- Distributor and Retailer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with our brand values and objectives.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop annual sales forecasts and budgets, track performance against targets, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Sales Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales strategy.
- Sales Reporting: Generate regular reports and analyses to measure sales performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications :
- Post Grad in Marketing from IIM's/XL/FMS/SPJIMR/MDI/SIBM etc.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive sales experience in the FMCG industry, with a focus on the general trade segment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong knowledge of the general trade distribution channels, including distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for the cosmetic industry.
