We are currently retained by a leading well-funded Agri startup to hire a National Head of Sales.

This role will offer you to the opportunity to create and manage sales across all channels. This leader will integrate sales across institutional sales, field sales, and tele-calling (call center-driven) sales with a large team of sales professionals.

The person will be instrumental in taking his/her team to the next level as the company expands its offerings and its market presence through various channels. S/he will also build and maintain strategic vendor relationships at senior leadership levels across the brands. S/he will have a critical eye towards problems and opportunities and get hands-on when needed.

The individual must have a get-it-done approach, problem-solving mindset, and a focus on minimizing bureaucracy, with a high degree of enthusiasm and initiative.

The position is based at the Company's Headquarters in Pune.

The role will include:

- Drive the sales to achieve budgeted volumes and maximize profitability.

- Devise short-term and long-term business strategy based on feedback from customers (farmers), dealers, and sales teams.

- Define sales target, track performance, and revise strategy to deliver on goals.

- Establish and implement processes for the systematic approach for the sales team.

- Develop and execute a data-driven sales plan for the market by tracking all sales and marketing initiatives.

To fit the bill, you must have:

- 12+ years of leadership experience in sales & distribution in a consumer-facing organization with a strong rural focus.

- Seasoned sales leader with a proven record in sales, customer insights, strategy development, and implementation.

- Experience of driving multi-channel sales in an FMCG/ Agri-business context or in allied sectors.

- Hands-on experience and understanding of multi-channel sales especially in a rural context

- Team leadership - the Track record of building and mentoring strong sales teams

Education:

The role needs a Bachelors/Masters in Agri followed by MBA in Agri from a top agri college. Please note this is NON NEGOTIABLE.
