 We have one very urgent position in one of the LEADING BFSI BRAND 

POSITION - National Head ( Chief Manager / AVP ) - General Insurance

SPAN OF CONTROL - EAST, WEST & SOUTH zone

DESIGNATION - Chief Manager / AVP

Department - Business Management and Development ; Commercial segment ; General Insurance

Reportees - 2 to 3

Location - Kolkata

OFFERED CTC - negotiable pa approx ; depending upon current CTC, total & relevant years of experience, business volume, education background, interview status.

Job Responsibilities :

- Heading all respective zones for Insurance distribution and business development for CLIENT Insurance Broking Pvt. Ltd. For Captive & Non Captive.

- Expansion of product portfolio and customer base by providing end-to-end or customised solution for insurance business by leveraging existing customer / corporate ( captive & non captive ) relationship.

Business Outcomes :

- Driving Insurance Business for new / fresh clients for all Insurance products. by providing end-to-end or customised solution for insurance business for general / health / life and other products.

- Responsible for relationship management with customers / dealers / vendors / manufacturers. Both Vendors and clients.

- Plan and execute strategic and tactical plans to achieve the organizational business plans. With responsibilities of P&L.

- Protect and increase a profitable revenue stream within current accounts. Ensure all accounts have had a - touch- every 90 days. Seek out expansion opportunities to further penetrate account both high and wide

Risk, Process & Compliance :

- Oversee process adherence, TAT improvement & adherence to all stipulated policies & guidelines and ensure operational excellence in both pre and post sales services

- Overseeing renewal of existing policies by negotiating rates and coverage with clients and vendors.

- Ensuing on-time processing of insurance claims.

People: 

- Manage self and team through the establishment of goal setting and review mechanisms to achieve the objectives of the function

- Ensure effective career and succession planning for all positions in the zone in collaboration with the Business Head

- Ensure adequate training of team members to be able to handle market dynamics and meet the requirements of the customers

- Provide guidance, counselling and feedback to subordinates on their performance to ensure a motivated and committed team

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work.

KPI's :

- Target Vs Actual growth in portfolio

- New Acquisition and existing clients.

- % Increase in the insurance (life, general, health) penetration

- deviation from overall process adherence and escalation SLAs

- % deviation from insurance renewal and insurance claim timelines

- % adherence to PMS timelines and process for self and team.

- IDP & Succession Plan for Self and first line and its deployment

- Target v/s Actual number and man-hours of trainings held during the year

- GPTW Participation % & Score.

- % Regrettable attrition

Qualification: MBA - Marketing / Finance

Experience: 10+ approx years of experience in the insurance sector

Important Points :


 1) Need to have experience in Commercial vertical

2 ) Need to have experience in Corporate - Broking Channel

3) Communication should be good, as they have to directly deal with CEO, CFO of the Large Corporates ( both captives & external corporate as well ).
