Job Description:
Objective of Role: Project Management expansion/ diversification/ technology related company initiatives
Administratively Reporting: State Head
Functional Reporting: Projects Head
Project Management
Validate the project vision and accordingly plan the future activities.
Prioritize projects based on pre-defined criteria or as per requirements of the top management.
Plan the project execution activities, budgets, schedule resources, and identify right people, potential suppliers and vendors.
Manage risk throughout the project implementation
Coordinate with Govt. authorities for obtaining required approvals/ permits/ clearances
Coordinate with purchase department for capital purchases and ensure coordination with accounts department for vendor payments
Appoint Architects/ consultants for project implementation
Coordinate with architects and consultants to ensure that project is completed within the planned schedule
Understand all project management controls (scheduling, cost control, procurement & estimating) and development & management of aggressive construction schedules
Co-ordinate projects and sub-projects, oversee the development, evaluation and review of plans and criteria for a variety of activities; assess propose plans, projects and selection of equipment.
Monitor & evaluate contract / contract performance to ensure compliance with contract; recommend action(s) to correct deficiencies
Work collaboratively with design and engineering managers to ensure project(s) are designed, procured and constructed within the boundaries of the companys best practices while conforming to technical requirements.
Submit project status reports to top management summarizing adherence to projected timelines and cost
To ensure that the project vision has been met after project completion and provide for necessary corrections, if any
People Management
Motivate and guide the people to achieve their individual targets
Conduct half-yearly/ annual appraisal of employees in the projects department
Enable employees through learning programs/ project management skills
