Mu Sigma - Principal Biostatistician/RWE Consultant (3-8 yrs)
Major Accountabilities:
Drive customer engagement by
- Supporting clients in identifying the right statistical techniques for RWE database analysis (claims, EHR, registries, etc.) and designing research objectives for scientific studies
- Providing thought leadership in generating insights and recommendations for study reports, presentations, publications, and other key client deliverables
Develop self and team by
- Develop a structured training program (knowledge sharing content, supporting creation of re-usable modules, etc.) to mentor analysts on different bio statistical techniques for Real World Analysis
- Proactively enhancing knowledge of statistical advances and industry trends to ensure best approaches are used in RWE studies
- Seek opportunities to constantly learn from other teams in Mu Sigma and develop an interdisciplinary mindset
- Supporting creation of marketing content like white papers to demonstrate Mu Sigma rigor w.r.t math.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree (MS, PhD, or equivalent) in biostatistics or another related field
- 3 to 5 years of statistical experience in RWE or a related field to execute the following analysis (not limited to):
- Survival analysis - Kaplan Meier curves, Cox proportional hazards model, Linear mixed model, trajectory analysis
- Cost analysis - Bootstrapping, GLM, 2 part models, semi Log OLS model, Oncology Care Model
- Rates (Incidence/prevalence and outcomes) based on distribution of data - Normal, uniform, poisson, binomial
- Identifying associations - Significance testing, multivariate analysis, logistic and linear regression
- Matched patient cohorts - Frequency matching, propensity score matching, etc
- Candidates with strong statistical experience in clinical trials who feel that they can take up this role can apply
- Experience working across major therapeutic areas like oncology, immunology, cardiovascular and rare diseases is preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with project team members and clients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and provide mindshare to multiple projects
- Sound understanding of the US Healthcare system and real world data sources like claims, EHR, EMR, registry and hospital data is preferred
- SAS/ SQL/ R programming experience is desired
