Job Responsibilities
- Purchase Manager (Packaging): Expertise in Cost plus conversion model & implementation.
- Identify Cost Effective Supplier and development to achieve 100% adherence to delivery & quality.
- Risk Assesment for supplier enrolment.
- Deliver targets set for Purchase Price Variance, Innovation, Cost Avoidance, & Value Optimization in given category.
- Efficient Contract Management and periodic contract performance review.
- Risk Mitigation planning and sustainable sourcing measures for category.
- This role will need high comfort levels with core procurement and project management concepts, interpersonal skills, ability to work in diverse/cross functional teams, high level of analytical thinking, and ability to influence senior management.
- Engage with Packaging Development and play pivotal role in finalizing the materials costs through developing elemental cost sheets.
- Daily/ Weekly/ Fortnightly Market Monitoring & Price Tracking.
- Strategic Procurement recommendations and execution.
- Supplier Development for quality product supplies, future needs.
- Maintain 100% adherence to Supplier code of conduct & responsible sourcing.
- Budgeting and adherence review.
- Engagement & influence key stakeholder for seamless implementation of strategic outcomes.
- Work in cross functional teams comprising R&D, Marketing, Legal, Finance etc.
- Supplier Evaluation and Development of Packging materials.
- Procurement of POSM; Marketing promotional material, Admin Gifts purchase, etc. Contract Management. New Product Development support.
- Collaborative/ Cross functional cost efficiency projects.
- Will be expected to become single point contact for all analytical inputs for the function.
Desired Education and Experience:
- MBA with exposure to packaging in a FMCG environment.
- M. Tech (Graduate from Indian Institute of Packaging/ packaging degree from reputed institutes/ Food B.Tech).
- 5 - 10 years of experience Any of one from below mentioned skill-set/ experience (must) :
1. Packaging Development
2. Executive/Assistant Manager/Manager in FMCG/Pharma/ Automobile/Retail/E-Commerce. Purchasing for Private Label development/Outsourcing.
3. Experience in Packaging Material Development/Purchase will be perfered.
4. Purchase Executive/Assistant manager/Manager in FMCG/Pharma/Retail/E-Commerce & Biotechnology, Etc.
Skills/Competence:
- Understanding of the Cost Structure and Seasonality.
- Good Negotiation Skills.
- Good Analytical Skills Good Communication & Interpersonal skills Basic IT skills like using MS Excel & Office, ERP & SAP etc.
