- Control all the verticals in QA, viz. In Process Quality Control,, QC Analytics (Raw Material, In process material & Finished Goods), Quality Assurance Third Party Manufacturing Units & Vendor Audits), FSM (Food Safety Management), Market complaints & Front end audits(CFAs and carrying audits in market to check packaging quality).
- Develop and prescribe standards for all input, in-process and finished goods.
- Develop and prescribe testing and evaluation criteria for input, in-process and finished goods.
- Adopt latest technologies in quicker & reliable analysis of materials. Upgrade QC lab infrastructure.
- Develop and execute annual plans, budgets and KPIs for quality vertical appropriate to business needs.
- Adopt appropriate Quality Management systems including certifications.
- Demonstrate improvement in Quality Standards, Food Safety.
- Sustain Improvement.
- Develop and implement Quality and Food Safety Management Systems w.r.t OFSS (ORKLA Food Safety Standard)& FSSAI requirements.
- Report audit observations and ensure appropriate corrective actions & in time closure of NC if any.
- Handle and resolve all customer complaints with due care as per the set protocol.
- Set up review mechanism to continually improve Quality Systems.
- Carry out quality audits of suppliers and finished goods supply chain points with a view to ensure compliance and refine Standard Operating Procedures [SOP].
- Drive CAPA processes and procedures. Formulate contingency policy for product recall.
- Ensure quick footed response to all changes and ammendments in Food Laws w.r.t. International Business.
- Act as a facilitator in - Quality Enabling- by providing support to - Operations Development- on quality.
- Strong process orientation - In plant process that help operations conceive the relationship between an agreed process and quality.
- Provide a strong QA leadership role in creating and maintaining technical knowhow for all product categories.
- Mentor and develop a team of Managers, and Executive directly/indirectly reporting to the role.
- Effectively be a quality leader and help ensure - Quality- in the entire value chain of Operations, ans bring in sharp focus on process adherence & quality.
- Communicate & co-ordinate with Marketing & Sales to have have appropriate understanding of quality and ensure adherence to systems/process.
Education: M. Tech /B Tech in Food Food Technology
Experience Desired:
- 12+ years of industry experience in Foods industry in Quality Assurance.
- 3+ years of leadership (as Head QA) and people management experience.
- Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000.
- Experience in Setting standards : Quality / Design & adherence to SOPs quality & hygiene standards.
- Experience in categories that MTR operates in.
